Dug in pain

Resurfaced in sickness and tears

Fashioned from unenviable actions

Paved in her decisions

In which gullies were carved

From rivulets which flowed from her eyes

Now she is resolute

She is strong

As she walks in uprightness

On the foundation

Of adversity and prayer

On which her resolve is built

God is her judge

As she travels steadfastly on

To the home

That he has planned.
