Only you can feel the pain

Of bearing your mistake in shame

But what good will it be

To destroy a life that erred

Expect no one to understand

That your heart

No longer could bear the strain

Remove yourself from the disgrace

Which you brought upon yourself

Look not for pity

As you rise with dignity

From pretensions and abuse

That could not subjugate your mind

Look to your vision

To find strength

To stride fearlessly

Through mockery and derision

To reach your destined goal

That empowerment

Which you hope to find

Could only be attained

When you free your mind

Of those who seek to subjugate

You are on a higher plain

Than those who try to put you down

They are not tall enough

To destroy your aspirations

Seek not then to become a hostage

But rise to fulfill your dream
