Conversation with the Heart

Updated: Sep 25, 2019

The feelings were unbearable at times

As helplessness and impotence crowed my mind

Reminding me that I had everythiing

Yet nothing was really mine

Then you constantly tug the strings

To remind me of the open space

That you alone can fill

You left me confused for years

Wondering what I should do

And how will it end

There is no end, you said

For that space will only close

When into your life, he comes to stay

But since you have detours taken

And put me through so much strain

I could only keep my beats even

To protect you from your pains

Now please remember, not to succumb to woe

Refrain (repeat)

We now talk daily

Since Liberty you have given to me

To understand

That everything was meant to be

In God's infinite plan for me

You reminded me

That conveying my inner beliefs

Can only bring true self relief
