GOD'S MERCY
Scrabbling across the roof
Looking for a space to resound
Then cascading to the gravelly earth
To burst and rebound with joy
Slapping the stone dust
Creating a warmth in my heart
I hear gladness in every splash
A grey day
But so beautiful
With the earth enjoying
Its blanket that gets whiter
With each cleansing splatter
It's a soft, grey whiteness
That hugs and rocks you
And makes you dream
Of happiness
And breathe softly
Into a world that showed God's mercy.
