Someone calls outside my window

A new friend I presume

Since I do not recognize the caller

By its unique voice

Which rings insistently clear

Tu-whit, Tu-whit, Tu- whit

I did not respond immediately

As I took time to appreciate the sonata

With interspersing modified notes

The feeling of missed opportunity persists

As I never met you in person

Yet your call stays with me

A symbol of individual universality
